The Joint Force Headquarters-Massachusetts (JFHQ-MA) provides command and control of all National Guard forces in Massachusetts for the governor. One of the responsibilities of the JFHQ-MA is to support all of the deployed units within the commonwealth, as well as acting as an information channel to the National Guard Bureau and combatant commanders. The JFHQ-MA can also act as a joint headquarters for national-level response efforts during contingency operations.
