Joint Base Cape Cod (JBCC) is a secure Federal military facility, and public access is limited. The JBCC is open to those with military IDs, military dependant IDs, and retired military IDs. Facilities open those ID holders include the Falcon Golf Course, the movie theater and bowling alley. Other limited facilities are available for use with prior authorization and coordination (click here for the Civilian Use Manual). The JBCC also is open to those who have business with entities on base or are visiting family or friends in US Coast Guard housing. Arrangements for access must be made prior to arrival at the base. Visitors should get in touch with their point of contact on base to arrange for a day pass. Hunting Hunting on Camp Edwards is limited to certain dates during deer and turkey hunting seasons. Pre-registration is required to participate on an established hunting day. Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for hunting on Camp Edwards were created by the Natural Resource Office in conjunction with Camp Edwards Headquarters, Facilities Engineers, Range Control, Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife, the Senior Environmental Corps, and the Otis Rod and Gun Club. The basis of this SOP is to plan each hunt in an open format with all interested parties present to avoid confusion as to dates, off-limit areas and staffing. If you are interested in participating in either the Camp Edward 's deer or turkey hunts, CLICK HERE for pre-registration procedures: Recreation Most recreational activities are prohibited on Camp Edwards, due to the potential risks and conflicts with military training and the potential damage to natural resources. These activities include, but aren't limited to, ATVs, mountain biking, and horseback riding, hiking, camping, and building fires.
