For more information go to: renewable energy link Cleanup & Restoration Programs The Joint Base Cape Cod (JBCC) has been used for military training since 1911. Past environmental practices caused impacts to the groundwater under the base and in the surrounding communities. Over the last 20 years, the military, along with many members of the community and federal and state regulatory bodies, has worked to clean up the environment on and under the base.
