Environmental Protection

The Massachusetts National Guard has put into place on the base some of the most Hands holding water droplet in front of globeextensive environmental programs in the region to ensure current and future military activity is protective of the valuable natural resources found here.

Alternative Energy

An important part of the commitment to sustainability of the commands and environmental programs of the Joint Base Cape Cod (JBCC) is exploring alternative energy potential at the base.

Cleanup & Restoration Programs

The Joint Base Cape Cod (JBCC) has been used for military training since 1911. Past environmental practices caused impacts to the groundwater under the base and in the surrounding communities. Over the last 20 years, the military, along with many members of the community and federal and state regulatory bodies, has worked to clean up the environment on and under the base.
