HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. — The Massachusetts National Guard and U.S. Central Command will host a media availability of field training exercises for the ongoing Exercise REGIONAL COOPERATION 2025 at Cape Edwards on Joint Base Cape Cod, June 25 and 26, 2025.

Due to base access restrictions, media wishing to attend must register at ng.ma.maarng.mbx.paoma@army.mil.
More than 350 military personnel from the United States, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan are participating in the exercise from June 16- 27, 2025. Representatives from Armenia, Georgia, and Great Britain have joined as exercise observers.
REGIONAL COOPERATION is an annually occurring, multinational, and interagency exercise that focuses on shared challenges such as counterterrorism, border security, humanitarian assistance, and crisis response. It is led by the U.S. Central Command out of MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL.
This year’s iteration will be comprised of three parts: A Command Post Exercise with focus on regional stability, a Special Operations centric Medical Field Training Exercise will focus on the preservation of life through the fundamentals of US field medicine and the utilization of Army Aviation for rapid Medical Evacuations, and a Cyber Security Exercise to enhance defensive cyber capabilities and readiness.
Through the Department of Defense’s State Partnership Program initiative, National Guard states develop enduring military-to-military relationships with partner nations to build mutual capability and trust. REGIONAL COOPERATION provides a venue to strengthen these partnerships through hands-on collaboration and shared planning.
In its 29th year, the focus of REGIONAL COOPERATION 2025 is on enhancing operational readiness and interagency coordination, it also fosters personal relationships among military professionals from across the globe.
The Massachusetts National Guard has previously hosted REGIONAL COOPERATION in 2013, 2016 and 2018. This marks the fourth time Camp Edwards has served as the primary host location for this internationally recognized event.
