Command Chief Master Sergeant Michelle C. O'Keefe

Chief Master Sergeant Michelle C. O’Keefe is the Command Chief Master Sergeant for the Massachusetts Air National Guard located at Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts. As the top enlisted member of the state, she is responsible for providing leadership to the enlisted forces where she plays a vital role in the readiness and force development. She is responsible for the management of 2,000 Airmen throughout the state that are geographically separated at two wings and one headquarters.

Chief O’Keefe originally joined the Massachusetts Air National Guard in April 1992. Her first assignment was with the 102nd Fighter Wing, where she served as a Personnel Specialist. During her 11 years with the 102nd, Chief O’Keefe held myriad roles to include: Assistant Retention Manager, Non-Commissioned Officer-in-Charge (NCOIC) of Personnel Relocations, NCOIC of Personnel Readiness and NCOIC of Personnel Support for Contingency Operations (PERSCO).

In 2002, Chief O’Keefe deployed to Camp Justice, Oman in direct support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM as a Personnel Superintendent for the second largest base in the Area of Responsibility. Under her leadership, she led her PERSCO team to be recognized as number one of 17 deployed locations.

In 2003, Chief O’Keefe began serving at the Massachusetts Air National Guard Headquarters where she currently serves today.
