Command Chief Master Sergeant Sean Sullivan

Chief Master Sergeant Sean Sullivan is the Command Chief Master Sergeant for the Massachusetts Air National Guard located at Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts. As the top enlisted member of the state, he is responsible for providing leadership to the enlisted forces where he plays a vital role in readiness and force development. He is responsible for the leadership of 2,000 Airmen throughout the state that are geographically seportate at two wings and one headquarters. 

Chief Sullivan initially enlisted into the United States Marine Corps in 1983 and served four years in the infantry before joining the Massachusetts Army National Guard in 1987. In 1989 Chief Sullivan was selected for Officer Candidate School and received a Commission as a Second Lieutenant in 1990. Chief Sullivan was given an opportunity to attend Initial Entry Rotary Wing training and received his aviator rating in 1991. Chief Sullivan continued to serve in the Army National Guard until 1999. In 2009 Chief Sullivan enlisted in the Massachusetts Air National Guard and accepted a position as the Ground Safety NCOIC for the 267th Combat Communications Squadron. Chief Sullivan was selected to become a First Sergeant and served at the Squadron and Wing level before being selected as a Command Chief. During his career, Chief Sullivan has served in an array of leadership roles at squad, platoon, company, squadron and Wing levels. He has participated in Marine Amphibious Unit deployments in 1984, 1985 and 1987 to the Pacific Theater of operations and was deployed as a security element to assist United States Advisors in South America in 1985. As an Army Aviator Chief Sullivan was activated for numerous Domestic Operations including airborne firefighting operations in Western Massachusetts assisting in firefighting efforts for several out of control forest fires that were threatening homes and ski lodges. Chief Sullivan is a competent and sought after instructor having served as a marksmanship instructor in the Marine Corps, a Training Advisor and Counseling Officer for the Officer Candidate School in the Army and a facilitator for the 102d Intelligence Wing satellite Airman Leadership School and Non-Commissioned Officers Academy. He is a veteran of Operations FREEDOMS SENTINAL, NOBLE EAGLE and INHERENT RESOLVE. 

Chief Sullivan is a retired civilian Law Enforcement officer and served twenty five years for the Town of Mashpee Massachusetts. Chief Sullivan rose to the rank of Lieutenant and was in command of the detective division and Special Response Team. Currently Chief Sullivan is the Operations Director of the Organization of Competitive Bodybuilding, the largest drug-free bodybuilding federation in America. He is also a published author and certified polygraph examiner.
