Know before you go….
Reporting personal foreign travel (i.e., travel outside the U.S., its territories, or possessions) is required for all military personnel and cleared civilian employees. Personnel who fail to self-report foreign travel may face adverse administrative action including, but not limited to, suspension or revocation of security clearance eligibility.
MAANG Airmen and civilians must contact their chain of command or Wing security manager for specific reporting procedures.
MAARNG Soldiers and civilians will follow these procedures:
At least 60 days prior to travel:
• notify your chain of command, and
• sign-up for the U.S. State Department’s Safe Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) at https://step.state.gov/.
At least 45 days prior to travel:
• complete Antiterrorism Level I course https://jko.jten.mil/courses/AT-level1/launch.html,
• watch the “Expect the Unexpected” travel video https://www.dividshub.net/video/509170/expect-unexpected-defensive-tactics-safe-trip-abroad,
• complete Parts I-III of MAARNG FM 380-4(v2), Personal Foreign Travel Report (travel form), and
• submit your form to the G2 Security Office via FootPrints (if you cannot access FootPrints, contact your chain of command to coordinate proper delivery/transmission of your form).
The MAARNG G2 Security Office will complete Part IV and return the form to you (or your chain of command) via encrypted email prior to your departure.
Within 5 days of return from travel:
• complete Part V of your form and
• submit your form again to the MAARNG G2 Security Office via FootPrints (Or contact your chain of command).
